The dext Keywing Key Turner converts an ordinary key into a broad thumb turn, so that door keys are easier to grip and turn for people with reduced hand strength or dexterity. Each wing clips around the key and is secured with a 3M adhesive pad, which means the key does not need to be taken off its keyring to fit it. Once attached, the wing presents a much larger surface to hold, and the manufacturer states that around half the usual strength is then needed to turn the key. Dimpled domes on each face give the fingers something to press against, which helps when hands are cold or stiff. The pack contains three turners in green, blue and pink, so individual keys can be told apart at a glance.

Keys are small, and turning one in a lock calls for a precise pinch grip held at an awkward angle. Replacing that pinch with a broad thumb turn reduces both the effort and the fumbling at the front door, and the three colours make the right key quick to pick out for anyone carrying several.
