Product Overview
The Basketweave bedside commode is an armchair-style commode built to look like a piece of furniture rather than medical equipment, so it can sit beside a bed without announcing what it is. A woven finish over a stained, reinforced timber frame gives it the appearance of a wicker chair, while the commode pot sits concealed beneath a removable padded seat covered in flame-retardant vinyl. Lifting the seat gives access to the pot, which has its own handle and a lid that locks down, so it can be carried to be emptied without spilling. Underneath, a one-piece moulded plastic base means there are no seams to trap soiling. The arms sit 43 cm apart at a height of 25 cm, the seat is a fixed 44 cm, and the high sides give something solid to push against when standing. It is made in England and rated to 150 kg.
