The Casero Clamp On Bed Rail is a short steel support rail that clamps onto the frame of a bed to give a fixed handhold beside the sleeping position. It stands 40 cm high and 30 cm wide, so it provides something solid to take hold of when moving from lying to sitting or settling back down, without running the length of the bed. The slip on attachment is fitted and removed by hand with no tools required, which makes the rail practical for short term use as well as a permanent fitting, and it can be positioned on either side of the bed to suit the room layout and the person's stronger side. The frame is made from strong steel with a white finish and is rated for a maximum user weight of 200 kg. It suits home, supported living and residential aged care settings.

A short rail gives a person something firm to hold when getting into or out of bed while leaving the rest of the bed open, so a carer still has clear access and the bed does not take on the enclosed feel of full length rails. Fitting needs no tools, so the rail can be moved to the other side or taken off again without difficulty.
