The Casero Wide Rail (BZ0596) is one of the short bed rails in the Casero Series accessory range, mounting to the bed frame so that it stands above the mattress platform. The Movi Casero bed range brochure gives its size as 40 cm high by 60 cm wide, which makes it the broadest of the short rail profiles offered for these beds. The alternatives listed alongside it are a 40 x 30 cm rail, a 60 x 30 cm tall rail and a 60 x 10 cm U rail, with telescopic side sets and three-quarter length rails available where coverage along the whole bed is wanted. Because the wide rail covers one section of the bed side rather than its full length, it offers support at that point while leaving the remainder of the bed open.

Being able to choose between the wide, tall and U profiles means the amount of rail can be matched to the person using the bed instead of fitting full length rails by default. At 60 cm across, the wide rail gives a broader span than the other short options while still leaving most of the bed side clear for a carer to work from.
