The Homecraft Over Toilet Aid, Foldable is an aluminium frame that stands over a standard toilet to raise the seating height and provide an armrest on each side, so that lowering onto and rising from the toilet asks less of the hips and knees. The plastic seat measures 48 cm wide by 41 cm deep and the legs adjust the seat height between 47 cm and 63 cm to suit different pans and different users. The frame folds flat for storage behind a door or for carrying in a car, which suits compact bathrooms, respite and travel. Because the frame carries its own seat, it can also be used as a shower chair, or as a bedside commode when the optional bowl and lid are fitted. It weighs 3.8 kg, is rated to 100 kg and stands on non slip rubber feet.

Two things make this frame practical in a shared or compact bathroom. It folds away when someone else needs the room, and the same frame covers toileting, showering and, with the optional bowl, bedside use, which avoids buying three separate items. At 3.8 kg it is light enough for one person to move, fold and set up unaided.
