The Royale Multi-Motion Bed Tall Side Rail is a compact, high rail for the Royale Multi-Motion bed range. Where a long rail guards a length of mattress, this one concentrates support at a single point: it is only 35 cm wide but stands 59 cm above the top of the bed base, taller than the other rails in the range. The five vertical bars give a ladder of grip positions at different heights, which helps someone pulling themselves upright in bed or steadying themselves while moving to sit on the edge of the mattress. Because the rail occupies so little of the bed length, most of the mattress stays open for carer access and for getting in and out. It attaches to the bed surround on either side of the bed, and the metal construction is built for long-term reliability.

Height is the point of difference here. At 59 cm above the bed base, the rail gives something to hold at around chest level when sitting up or moving to the edge of the bed, which a low rail cannot offer. Its narrow 35 cm footprint delivers that support without fencing in the mattress, so independent movement and carer access are both preserved.
