The Car Caddie is a portable support handle that gives a steadying handhold when getting into or out of a vehicle. The window is lowered, the nylon strap is looped over the window frame and snapped into place, and the window is then raised to hold it secure, which takes only seconds and needs no tools or permanent fitting. The strap adjusts between approximately 17.8 cm and 40.6 cm (7 to 16 inch) so the handle can be set to fall within comfortable reach from the seated position. The handle itself is 12.7 cm (5 inch) wide with a contoured no-slip rubber grip, and the whole unit weighs around 113 g, which makes it practical to keep in a bag or glovebox for use in taxis, hire cars and other vehicles away from home.

Door frame height varies from car to car, and a handhold positioned at the window gives support where it is actually needed when rising from a low seat. Fitting and removal take seconds without tools, so one handle can serve several vehicles, and the very light weight makes it realistic to carry for travel rather than leave at home.
